Hebrew Books at Court
The collections of Hebrew books of the dukes of Savoy.
The portal gathers together the sources that can be used to study the history of the formation of the collections of Hebrew books of the Biblioteca Ducale (the Duke’s Library) of Turin. This library later became the Biblioteca Regia (the Royal Library) and then the Regia Universitaria (the Royal University Library); the collections are now housed in the Biblioteca Nazionale Universitaria (National University Library).
The project, which received funding from the Region of Piedmont, was carried out by the Department of Humanities of the University of Turin under the scientific direction of Professor Corrado Martone, and was undertaken by Chiara Pilocane.
